I like to have the venue for the whole day OR at least 2 to 3 hours. So I can fit in as many pottery painters as possible. I like to divide the Pottery Painting Day into about 2 to 4 sessions depending on availability times:-
9.30am to 11am
11.30am to 1pm
1.30pm to 3.00pm
Each session would seat however many spaces are available at the venue.
I promote the “Pop Up” via my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/yeovilpotdoodles and customers book through me via phone or usually Facebook etc.... also it is hoped that the venue or group would also promote this activity within the community if applicable.
I like to arrive 1 hour before the start of the day or session to set things up etc..
I offer a range of pottery to paint, from:- Mugs, Bowls, Plates to Clocks, Plant Pots and Biscuit Barrels and much more. I tend to stick to the practical pottery shapes something that is both useful and decorative. I bring everything with me, the blank pottery shapes, glazes, brushes, stamps, sponges and stencils to help with the creation of the pictures, patterns and designs. I only require access to water, to wash brushes and palettes between sessions and hopefully the use of the Wi-Fi for my card reader.
I take payment for the pottery painting, directly via Cash or Card.
All the pottery is taken away to be professionally kiln fired at my studio. Once it is kiln fired it is dishwasher and microwave safe “proper earthenware pottery. The pottery is returned to the venue, within 7 to 10 days. It will all be individually bubble wrapped, box and marked it for the attention of the customers.
